Have you always dreamt of being a rock star, performing at your own live gig? Well now’s your chance to make your Rock Dreams come true by becoming a Weekend Warrior.
The Weekend Warriors programme gives lapsed musicians the once in a lifetime opportunity to re-join a band and relive their musical youth. It’s run in music stores throughout the UK. They will provide you with the latest equipment, rehearsal space, and a mentor to provide advice and support. It starts with an induction evening where you join other Warriors and start your new band. Then after 5 rehearsals you play your own live gig in front of family and friends!

The Weekend Warriors programme has been brought to the UK from the US by the Music Industries Association (MIA) which is passionate about encouraging people to make music. The MIA is the UK Trade Association of the musical products industry. We represent the whole industry including educators, suppliers, retailers, publishers and other companies associated with our marketplace.Weekend Warriors was started in the US in 1993 by Skips Music and taken up by NAMM the American Music Association. As well as being run throughout the US it is also run in Australia by the Australian Music Association too.

To join the Weekend Warriors scheme click on the link below to see the list of current Warrior stores near you and then print off the enrolment form, fill it in and either take it in to your chosen shop or fax to 01372 750515.
